Non-standard use of organic fertilizer equipment hazards

2025/01/15

Non-standard use of organic fertilizer equipment will bring many hazards, as follows:

1. Equipment damage and shortened life: failure to comply with the operation specifications, such as equipment overload operation, do not pay attention to the inspection and maintenance before and after use, easily lead to equipment failure and reduce its service life.

2. It is difficult to guarantee ripness: organic fertilizers need to be completely decomposed and transformed by aerobic and anaerobic microbial activities before they can be absorbed and utilized by plants. Non-standard use of equipment, such as insufficient fermentation time, improper temperature control, etc., will lead to insufficient maturation of organic fertilizer.

3. Deterioration of soil environment: excessive application of organic fertilizer or application of undecomposed organic fertilizer will exceed the ability of microorganisms in the soil to decompose organic matter and degrade harmful substances, so that the soil and the surrounding environment will be polluted. At the same time, the decomposition of organic fertilizer will produce a large number of organic acids, sulfides, carbon dioxide, ammonium salts and other harmful substances, a large number of beneficial microorganisms in the soil and burn crop roots, destroy the soil ecological balance.

4. Health risks: organic fertilizer raw materials such as animal feces and urban sludge contain some pathogenic bacteria to the human body. If the equipment is not operated according to standard, workers do not take protective measures during operation, such as not wearing dust masks, not washing hands after touching raw materials, etc., they may be infected with diseases.

5. Safety risks: Some organic fertilizer equipment, such as fermentation compost turning machines, contain high-speed rotating knives, improper operation may lead to injuries. There is also open fermentation, if the raw material is very dry and the stack is too large, spontaneous combustion may occur, there is a fire risk, endangering the safety of personnel and equipment.
