Why does straw crushing reduce air pollution

2024/06/28

Straw crusher can effectively reduce air pollution by crushing the stalks of crops. This is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Reduce air pollution from burning: Traditionally, many farmers used to burn straw from their fields in order to clear the land and prepare it for the next planting season. However, straw burning will produce a lot of smoke and harmful gases, seriously pollute the air, affecting human health and environmental quality. After the straw crusher is used to crush the straw, it can replace the incineration and use it as an organic fertilizer, feed or other purposes, avoiding the air pollution caused by direct incineration.

2. Promote the recycling of resources: the debris after straw crushing can be directly returned to the field as an organic fertilizer, improve the soil structure, increase the soil organic matter content, and contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture. The straw after the grinding of organic fertilizer equipment can also be used to produce biomass fuel, edible fungus medium, feed and building materials, etc., to improve the utilization efficiency of resources and reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and other non-renewable resources, thereby indirectly reducing air pollution.

3. Reduce greenhouse gas emissions: Straw burning will not only produce air pollutants, but also release a large amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, increasing the carbon load in the atmosphere and promoting global warming. After the straw is crushed, it is used for fertilizer, feed and other purposes, which can reduce the methane emission (methane is a powerful greenhouse gas) during the straw decay process, thus slowing down the greenhouse effect.
