What distinguishes the BB fertilizer mixer from standard mixers is its dual focus on "precise blending" and "granule integrity." Designed specifically for the characteristics of BB fertilizer granules and powdered raw materials, the mixer features optimized blade angles and anti-caking mechanisms to minimize material compression and agglomeration. Additionally, it utilizes an enclosed mixing chamber to shield the mixture from ambient humidity, ensuring the final product remains loose and dry. Its fundamental value lies in employing a scientific physical blending process to guarantee the accurate execution of formulas and the efficient utilization of nutrients.

Structural composition of the equipment

The BB fertilizer mixer consists of three main sections:
(I) Frame section: Constructed by welding high-quality carbon steel plate and channel steel.
(II) Mixing drum section: Fabricated from high-quality carbon steel plate, featuring spiral mixing blades on the inner wall.
(III) Drive and transmission section: An electric motor drives the system via a pulley, V-belt, and speed reducer.
(IV) Skip-hoist feeding section: The guide rails are made of high-quality channel steel.

Application scope of the equipment

The BB fertilizer mixer is primarily designed for BB fertilizer processing workshops, compound fertilizer plants, and large-scale agricultural supply enterprises. It is used for the precise blending of multi-element raw materials for various types of BB fertilizers and blended compound fertilizers. The equipment offers flexible adaptability, handling everything from standard NPK BB fertilizers to specialized formulations containing secondary and trace elements; it is also suitable for applications such as organic-inorganic compound fertilizers.

Types of usable raw materials

The raw materials processed by the BB fertilizer mixer include granular fertilizer ingredients—such as urea, potassium chloride, monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), and potassium sulfate—in the form of spherical or oblate granules. The materials should have similar specific gravities and particle sizes; generally, the moisture content should be less than 2%, and the materials should be free from significant caking or stickiness.

The working principle of the equipment

The BB fertilizer mixer utilizes the principle of gentle convective blending. Materials undergo brief, mild tumbling and convective mixing within a specially designed mixing chamber. Unique helical ribbon or paddle configurations induce simultaneous axial and radial circulation of the materials without exerting strong impact forces. The system operates with reversible rotation and utilizes a batch-wise, intermittent mixing process.

Equipment operating instructions

(I) Pre-loading preparations: Check the stability of the mixer body. Inspect the mixing blades and the drive system. Screen raw materials to remove impurities and ensure that the particle size of any agglomerates does not exceed 5 mm.
(II) Loading operation: Follow the principle of "light before heavy, fine before coarse, and dry before wet."
(III) Mixing and discharging: Control the mixing time. Open the discharge gate quickly once mixing is complete.

Equipment maintenance methods

(I) Routine Maintenance: Thoroughly clear out accumulated material from the machine after each shift. Promptly repair or replace blades with wear exceeding 5 mm. Inspect mechanical components regularly (1–2 times per month).
(II) Periodic Lubrication: Periodically replace grease in all bearings. Regularly apply high-temperature lubricant to the lifting guide rails.
(III) Seasonal Maintenance: Repaint the machine frame with protective coating after the production season ends.
