Proper Operation and Maintenance of Fertilizer Screening Machines in PK Fertilizer Production Lines

  • 2026-02-28

Fertilizer screening machines in NPK fertilizer production lines are responsible for screening qualified particles and separating unqualified materials and impurities. Their operation and maintenance directly affect the particle size uniformity of the finished fertilizer, preventing unqualified products from leaving the factory.

Key Points for Proper Operation: Before starting the machine, check that the screen is securely fixed and undamaged, the vibrating motor is running normally, and the discharge port is unobstructed. After starting the equipment, wait until the fertilizer screening machine reaches its normal speed before feeding material at a uniform speed, controlling the feed rate to avoid material accumulation on the screen and affecting the screening effect. Observe the screening situation during operation. If screen blockage occurs, stop the machine immediately for cleaning. Never touch the running screen directly with your hands. Before stopping the machine, stop feeding first, and wait until all material on the screen has been screened and discharged before turning off the power.

Post-Maintenance Tips: After each shutdown, thoroughly clean the screen surface and the inside of the equipment of any residual material to prevent material from caking and clogging the screen holes. Check the screen wear weekly; if there is any damage or deformation, replace it promptly to ensure screening accuracy. Regularly inspect the mounting bolts and bearings of the vibratory motor, add lubricating oil, and troubleshoot any abnormal vibration issues. When the machine is to be shut down for an extended period, disassemble the screen, clean it thoroughly, wipe the surface of the equipment to prevent rust, and store it in a dry, well-ventilated place to avoid moisture and corrosion.
